Convergent Craft is a competitive homebrewing team by Carlos & Courtney Villarreal. Its creation was rooted in the struggle to find craft beers locally which fit their tastes. Each celebrates opposite ends of the beer spectrum. Courtney likes American IPA’s, Pale Ales, and other hop-forward beers, while Carlos enjoys classic Belgians and Saisons. As their love of craft beer grew and their palettes expanded, they found it harder and harder to locate new and exciting beers that they wanted to try locally, which led to homebrewing.
After winning a local beer competition in 2019, they chose to invest in their new hobby. Since then, they have competed in multiple BJCP competitions and collaborated with 5×5 Brewing Co. on various successful beers. By focusing on the basics and science of brewing, both Carlos & Courtney have successfully turned their hobby into something bigger.
